Funded Projects

The Turner Foundation receives many quality applications and we regret

that we are not able to fund each and every project.  For this reason, we

encourage those who were not funded during past cycles to re-apply

during the next funding cycle.

The following are sample projects previously funded by the foundation:

$5,000 to Richland Elementary School for outdoor exploratorium providing

outdoor learning experiences for handicapped and autistic children.

$2,500  Louise K. Turner Forest Ecology Preserve at Auburn University

School of  Forestry

$5,500 to the Auburn University College of Education for scholarships

$3,993 to the Columbus Museum to provide signage and literature to

enhance education in the Frederick Olmstead Gardens by visual

identification markers of plant and tree species.

$2,100 to the Davis Arboretum at Auburn University for educational

programs that focus on watershed, non-point source pollution and

appreciation and protection of streams and their ecology.
